Everyone really needs to read this: this deck is fun when it works, but it rarely works. It’ll get you to 10, and maybe to 5, but it will not progress past that. It’s too situational, requiring Barnes to be effective in the least. Anything else will just be a hand full of cards while your opponent chips away at you. without Barnes in hand, rush will win every time.

    I love this list.
Priest is one of the few classes I don’t have a golden hero with but this list is soon to change that.
Personally I swapped out devour mind for free from amber as I find you usually have a pretty full hand the the occurrence or obsidian statue is pretty common.

You want to mulligan hard for barnes as its the only card you dont want to pull from shadow essence, and then from there you just control the board till you win.

It’s got me from rank 15 to rank 7 so far.

The dream scenario with this deck is, heal pass till turn 4. Barnes, pull Y’Sharj, which pulls Y’Sharj. 😀

I replaced Devour Mind with Malygos
He has good synergy with smite, spirit lash (insane heal<3) and dragonfire potion

I actually played with this deck and made a lot of adjustments. Im going to leave it here, I had a lot more success with my version. Possibly just started playing it better over time. ### Big Priest

That is indubitably worse! Why the hell would you want a 5/5 or 1/1 Ultrasaur? Ok, you can silence it, but who cares? ALL of the targets in the original deck (apart from Barnes if you’re unlucky) do something either straight away or have a big impact following turn. Ultrasaur, or whatever junk you get out of Freed from Amber are hugely worse.

You dont get it, this deck runs out of steam pretty quickly against hard removal, my versions might not give the best targets for barnes or eternal servitude but eternal servitude is a discover effect and the only thing that matters is that it finds a big minion, my version lets you more easely get threat after threat after threat. And if you mulligan correctly you can also beat aggro decks.

    Best replacement for y’shaarj?

      August 13, 2017 at 7:59 PM

I don’t have y’shaarj so I use N’Zoth instead, also replacing potion of madness Deathwing the dragonlord. Pretty good to pull Ysera download when you have it stuck on hand. Of course Shaarj is better though.

I;’m not sure. N’zoth bringing back multiple statues is usually a concede. And you can Dream Nzoth back to your hand.

There isn’t – he’s pretty much mandatory if you want the deck to work properly.

Replace Devour Mind with Thought steal
Its too high cost and tbh the extra card is usually clunky in your hand late game.

    • Adam
      August 13, 2017 at 3:56 PM

      It’s a card economy issue. Thoughtsteal = +1 card. Devour = +2 cards.

This deck is cancer. I’ve play ~40 games at rank 5 today and 48% of them have been this deck. May not be consistent for the pilot, but playing against it about 50% of the time it works out for them.

Well, i’m at 8:0 now at rank 10

Trying this deck, so far 2-0. But is extremely slow, and most of the time you are stuck with the hand full, having to waste spells just to make room for the next draw. Both matches I couldn’t play ysera or lich king because they would burn me cards.
