Mulligans
General Mulligans
The mulligan is straightforward, but there are many options, especially if youre holding the Coin and Innervate. You can gain early pressure by playing two Murloc Tidehunter and follow up with a Power of the wild or other combinations. Otherwise you start by simply playing the two Saplings, Finley or an Egg.
This deck is a remake of the famous Egg Druid. I climbed the ladder from 18 to 10 with ease.
I replaced Jeeves with Cult Master, which does a better job in most of the cases. I replaced Echoing Ooze and Spectral Spider with Murloc Tidehunter and Bilefin Tidehunter. Spawn of N'Zoth fits very well as an addition.
Aim of the deck is to do the efficient trades with Abusive Sergeant, Mark of the Wild, Power of the Wild,Gormok the Impaler and Savage Roar, while maintaing the board control with the tokens of Soul of the Forest, Dragon Egg and Mounted Raptor.
With Sir Finley Mrrgglton you want to go for the Paladin or Shaman Hero Power for more token madness.
I personally loves J4ckiechan’s Egg druid before Standard, thanks for remaking the deck. However, in my opinion, wouldn’t innervate be a really bad top-deck in mid games when your hand is empty? I personally would run just one innervate instead of two to try to do some early combo in the beginning of the game. Not sure what to replace it with though? Any suggestions? Thanks.
I don’t even run innervate either. You might try Tinkmaster Overspark, for his removal and buffs.
Innervate is crazy for some early game combos and brings this extra jump over the cliff to overoll your opponent. Nevertheless there are some replacements. Raven Idol is great for situational plays. Cenarius for a better lategame. Maybe even the new Hogger?! There is a lot of testing to be done.
Mark of the Wild has lost it’s mainsynergy with Ooze, which makes it’s also replaceble. A Dark Iron Dwarf for more efficient trades is viable.
