If you enjoy Hero Power and passing your turn then You Must be This Tall to Brawl is a solid Tavern Brawl for you! Druid does have a lot of tools to fill your turns ramping up and then dropping huge minions on the board. Innervate, Wild Growth, and even Astral Communion can get your to your big minions right away. I’m not entirely sure you need Astral Communion, but if you get it and draw into your big minions it will be awesome. If you want to go double Astral, I would remove Wrath and I would consider taking out Raven Idol to add more big minions. I’ve played against some Mage decks that have a lot of burn spells and secrets like Vaporize and Mirror Entity. Raven Idol can help you get a minion that might not be as favorable to play into Mirror, and Healing Touch is there to help you get out of harms way. You could also consider Tree of Life, but that might be overkill.
Mountain Giant and any of your ramp cards are what you’re looking for in your mulligan.
I’d also like to say Naturalize is really good in this deck because most people are going to be sitting on a bunch of cards and you’ll probably mill them. Plus, if you are able to remove their big minion while playing one of your own you can go to face more readily.
This is an early build of this deck and could probably be refined, let me know what you think in the comments.
I removed all of the useless spells (IMO, don’t hate!) and went full Astral Druid with it.
Astral Communion was dead for me most of the time as well so I took it out.
Also added two Power Of The Wild for early game minions. Works out nice as your opponent is forced to waste removal or just take 3 to the face each turn. Not terrible late game either adding +1/+1 to each minion.
Also I found Rafaam is really nice to use. There isn’t much mass removal in this brawl, so Mirror Of Doom combos really nice especially when you have Savage Roar in hand.
Overall great deck! Have only lost once and that was to another Druid doing the same thing.
Thanks, I originally had Power of the Wild, but I cut it to try some other cards and forgot to put it back in. I think you’re right about Astral Communion, unless you draw it with Innervate and then draw well afterwards it’s not very good.
I don’t think you need Astral Communion, Wrath or Swipe. I replaced them with two Clockwork Giants (awesome in this Brawl) and two Mulch (huge tempo swings since you’re guaranteed to have expensive minions to use them on). Only played four games but went 4-0 very very easily. The ramp you get from turn 2 Wild Growth into turn 3 Coin+Nourish is insane, and I was regularly getting Clockwork Giants out for 3-4 mana.
I agree on Astral Communion, but Paladin can be difficult to deal with if you don’t have some kind of board clear. Clockwork Giants is a good idea.
