Mulligans
ControLock is my favorite archetype. Love it or hate it (looking at you, Tickatus), it has seen a bit of a resurgence in the recent meta.
In this iteration, I want to use Tamsin Roame to get more value out of our world-wipes. Right now, Grimoire of Sacrifice, Mortal Coil, Drain Soul, Siphon Soul, and Twisting Nether count as Shadow cards. I suspect that Soul Shear, School Spirits, and maybe Hysteria might be Shadow as well (we’ll know for sure on the 25th). Coupled with Mo'arg Artificer, that’s a lot of removal! Against aggro, that is often enough.
But what if your opponent is slower? Good old Tickatus. Also, Envoy Rustwix and Lord Jaraxxus. These guys will close out your game for you.
I chose Kazakus, Golem Shaper, just to try him out.
Also, I could have gone with the self-mill package, but I just think it’s inferior to the soul shard stuff. I could be wrong, but Death's Head Cultist seems like a better 3-drop. Most of the time, we wont be going to fatigue, even against other control decks.
Let me know what you think! Will the self-mill stuff be better?
