Because of the many decks running around with cheap spells, and this deck’s cheapest spell costing 5 mana, Barbaric Sorceress acts as both disruption and discount. Balinda Stonehearth is great card draw that can hit massive discounts.
The primary purpose for the cheaper minions in this deck is simply to stop aggro. Deepwater Evoker often nets you 9+ armor due to the high curve of the deck.
Arcane Overflow only hits enemy minions meaning Dawngrasp, Grey Sage Parrot, and Iceblood tower will all use it on the enemy board.
