General Mulligans
Spiteful summoner is an always keep. Northshire is the only one drop, and always keepable. Shadow ascendant is fantastic if you already have northshire, but pretty bad if you don't. Against aggro you can keep duskbreaker.
Update: shadow ascendant has been replaced by Prince keleseth and an ironbeak owl. Keleseth represents a much larger tempo swing, and makes the deck super powerful, it weakens the twilight acolyte a bit, but that"s ok. The owl is used over spellbreaker because the deck is lacking in 3 drops, and there are many 4 drops.
New deck type thanks to coffin crusher. Coffin crusher into obsidian statue is really good, but getting another crusher, or bone drake is also good. Scaleworm is a new addition that let’s you target down threats on the board, and live. Nightmare amalgam is a solid 3/4 dragon for 3. Otherwise you got the normal spiteful stiff like northshire, shadow ascendant, the big spells, and the decent dragons we have left in cobalt scalebane, twilight drake, and now bone drake.
I have personally never been a fan of Grand Archivist in my spiteful decks. I think Shadow Reaper might fill that spot nicely. if you happen to wipe your Coffin Creeper you could time it to summon a dude from your hand hopefully giving you board control. I am excited about trying this deck out thank you!
P.S. Dragonfire Potion would have been sick with Coffin Creeper!
I could definitely see that working. Grand archivist either does nothing, or is amazing, he gets even better with the smaller card pool, being able to randomly bring out stuff like tyrantus. Playing multiple cards a turn is hard to get value from shadowreaper, and healing is still a really good hp. But it might be worth playing the anduin over the archivist. I could see skulking geist taking the slot if cubelock and inner fire priest take a hold of the metagame. Thank you for your comment.
