Good ol' Budget Hunter
With just three of the cards revealed for hunter so far, it seems that not only will a control dragon Hunter exist, but tempo/midrange dragon Hunter also exist. The version I have put together here is a budget version. The list provided to the right is a version that rides somewhere between a full and minimum dust variant.
Why so much tech?
The reason I have included as much tech as I have is that the wild meta benefits heavily from being able to hard counter cards in the early game. Stopping a secret Mage/Hunter with Flare , stopping a Kingsbane or Spectral Cutlass with Gluttonous Ooze, stopping a magnetized Annoy-o-Tron or Annoy-o-Module with Shieldbreaker can all help keep the tide pushing.
Playing Saboteur instead of Dragonslayer for shaman tech is appropriate…
Substitutions
(Because we are moving into a new expansion I based some substitutions off the chances of even having the new epic from the new set)
Smaller Pockets
- -1 Gluttonous Ooze –> +1 Acidic Swamp Ooze
- -2 Toxic Reinforcements –> +1/2 Dwarven Sharpshooter +1 Crowd Roaster
- -2 Crowd Roaster –> +1/2 Evasive Drakonid & +1/2 Twin Tyrant
Bigger Pockets
Without testing, I don’t recommend doing all of these substitutions, even if you can, also the Dragonslayer slot is the most flexible right now.
- -1 Faerie Dragon –> +1 Brightwing (Always make this one)
- -1 Drakonid Crusher –> +1 Dr. Boom
- -1 Dragonslayer –> +1 Dragonbane
- -1 Baited Arrow –> +1 Loatheb
Twilight Guardian replacement?
I would say +1 Ebon Dragonsmith and +1 Midnight Drake
You should really try to just use the Twilight Guardians because every dragon deck I have seen and played in wild has twilight Guardian in it.
