General Mulligans
Mulligan is no different from your typical handlock: You want to run a couple removals to stave off early aggression then follow with Twilight Drake, Void Drinker, Abyssal Summoner and Flesh Giant to overwhelm the opponent.
Following ViciousSyndicate’s expectation of handlock’s return, I made an attempt of theorycrafting a control-oriented handlock deck.
The deck replaces Khartut Defender, Aranasi Broodmother, Kelidan and a few other cards in favor of the Soul package serving as a source of healing and trigger for Void Drinker that should be an excelent performer.
The deck runs the dragon package enabling Nether Breaths for additional healing and Alextrasza.
Three cards I am unsure about are Raise Dead, Mortal Coil and Sunfury Protector, as I don’t know which two of the three are better to run; Raise Dead is a value generator and Brittlebone/Giant activator, Coil is excellent against lackeys and DS, and Sunfury provides much-needed taunts as the deck doesn’t run Khartut.
