Mulligans
General Mulligans
You mulligan hard for any one drop Murloc + Rockpool Hunter
If you have a one drop, search for a two drop and if you've got an already (1), (2) then look for something on Turn 3
If you're on the coin you always hold Call to Arms.
If you start, you keep Call to Arms only if you have a perfect one and two drop or if you're facing a slower deck.
Aggro Mulligans
Mulligan hard for your (1)-mana 1/3's, weapons, divine shield stuff and Call to Arms
Keep Righteous Protector only if you have another good (1) mana Murloc or if you're facing Odd Paladin
Control Mulligans
VS Big Priest and Cube/Giant Warlock you also keep Spellbreaker if you have atleast a (1) and a (2), (3) drop!
Murloc Aggro Paladin
Murloc Paladin is one of the best Aggro decks in Hearthstone History (Most of the time Tier 1 – 2 deck in Standard & Wild) The deck will be relevant all the unless the Journey of Un’Goro set is leaving Standard, then it will only be found in Wild Mode.
Aggro Murloc Paladin works by getting control, keeping board control, and hitting the face. Your early curve is important and try to do as much damage as possible, but be careful and try not to overextend, because AoE boardclears can hit you really hard! The deck only has a few charge minions and weapons, which means there is little reach to kill your opponent in the case that they stabilize. It is vital to use your weapon to keep our board alive. It’s most of the time worth it to overkill a minion or take upwards of 8 damage to keep our own minions alive as long we aren’t threatened with fatal damage. Weapons can also provide instant face damage whereas minions can provide us with repetetive damage.
One of the main builds for Aggro Paladin utilizes aggressive Murlocs to apply significant board control with your well statted buffing early Murlocs, especially when they get buffed with Gentle Megasaur, Coldlight Seer and Unidentified Maul .
Besides this, Divine Favor is still being utilized to gain a huge card advantage over control opponents. That, combined with Spellbreaker as a tech for Warlocks, Big Priests and annoying taunt minions allows the deck to still shine despite the recent nerfs of Call to Arms.
Card choices / Matchups
If a Hearthstone deck could fit more cards they would be:
good against boardclears (Druids, Control Mage, Warrior, Shaman etc.)
Good against Control decks to protect your board
good against Big Priests, Cube/Giant Warlocks and Sludge Belcher etc.
good against Even Shaman and Big Minions like Giants etc.
GOOD AGAINST other minion based aggro decks and buffs your dudes (sometimes Protects your board with divine shield) [not sure if coghammer is better…]
Vs. Aggro
Vs. Even Shaman
Vs. Big Priests and Warlocks
Loatheb & Coldlight Seer are pretty good against their AoE removals
Recent Changes
-1x Loatheb
+1x Rallying Blade
I removed 2x Muster for Battle because the 1/1 dudes just die against all the boardclears (but was sometimes nice to hold in hand to quickly refill the board or to combo it with Knife Juggler. The Problem of Muster for Battle is that you need 2 turns to clear a basic totem of the popular shamans out there. I think these two other weapons are stronger against Warlock, Big Priest and Even Shaman because of min. 2 attack and the possibility to buff your minions to gain early tempo.
I’m considering to cut 1x Knife Juggler for Shielded Minibot because of the Call to Arms-nerf and without Muster for Battle the powerlevel of Knife Juggler isn’t that strong anymore and Minibot is better against removals… Shielded Minibot is for some people the best 2 drop of Hearthstone, atleast one of the strongest.
I want to add more weapons/chargers to push fast face damage and cards to outlast boardclears.
– Coldlight Seer / Loatheb / Unidentified Maul
– Muster for Battle / Coghammer / Rallying Blade
Maybe cards / Replacement cardpool
