Beast Druid has been floating around as a potential deck for a while. Once Savage Combatant came out in TGT we thought it was going to happen for sure, but unfortunately Midrange Combo was too strong and Beast Druid didn’t get to where it needed to be. Sjow has a solid list here, that mixes Beast synergy with strong Neutral cards. An interesting inclusion is Violet Teacher which works well with Power of the Wild and Raven Idol. Fandral Staghelm will get you a lot of value in the late game by generating powerful minions and value out of cards like Wrath. I hope we see this deck list finally become relevant!

Tryed this deck out. I had a very low winrate to be honest. Seems like the beasts arent strong enough, they mostly get removed right after you play them. Savage combantant doesnt rarely survives a turn and the raptor doent seem strong enough for me.
I think druid need some more beast synergy and maybe a better 1 and 3 beast drop.
I play a budget version of this with no fandral, LoE, or BM cards.
I also have an extra teacher and 1 soul of the forest.
I achieved my highest ever rank with this deck (rank 9, yes I only started playing 8 months ago, and was not efficient with my dust), so this version should be quite powerful.
Should a naturalize or mulch be kept here for control?
I also think that innervate is not necessary, I run the deck without innervate and a few other changes atm and I prefer it without innervate. Due to the decks curve you don’t need innervate to bust out high minions, you’ll always have something to play. Kinda unorthodox for a Druid but it is alright. Placed an nourish in it and a Defender of Argus for a few more taunts to keep that health up.
I think you’re wrong about innervate. The minions by themselves are weak and innervate let’s you rank out value. It’s also very hard to get value out of Fandral without innervate, and innervate is a spell which allows for an extra student from Violet Teacher which can then be buffed with PoW. I think it’s essential and I’m surprised a lot of people don’t run it. This deck fails without ramp.
thats because a lot of people dont understand tempo vs card advantage and all those ‘weird’ concepts. Obv you are totally right.
Is fandral necessary?
You could play this deck without it.
I think its much better with Fandral because 13 cards have effect with choose one.
Fun deck to play but it lacks card draws, it isn’t fit versus all the current c’thun decks and it lacks late game power. Overall it needs some replacements, but as a druid lover and hoper for a good beast deck this feels like a good beginning
I took out a raptor and added a Nourish. Late game power is having board control and then Savage roar combo lethal. If you fall behind on board you aren’t getting it back unless you can. azure drake + swipe clear.
Should I bother crafting this deck if I don’t own Fandral yet?
I would hold off on this deck, I’ve only seen Sjow play it so I’m not totally convinced it’s truly good yet.
Addled Grizzly?
Why would this be better than just midrange if mark is the only pay off?
Indeed. And furthermore it seems odd that apart of the mark, there is absolutely no other cards benefiting or synchronizing with the Beast type.
The beast’s are pretty good cards by themselves, and mark of ysaraaj is alot better then you think, because AoL nerf causes druid to have some draw problems, ysaraaj solves that without losing tempo wich is very important for druid.
