I guess my question regarding this deck is the actual value of having Krul in it. I counted 6 demons in the entire deck, more than likely at least 1 of the 2 low cost minions will be played early on, if not both. Much of Enforcer’s value comes from the battle cry which is lost if Krul brings him into play, similar issue w/ Dread Infernal. I get that it’s feasible you wind up summoning a few demons, but it seems to me that it’s more likely more times that Krul’s entry onto the battlefield will be underwhelming. This impacts Guldan as well and could weaken the resurrection by having so few demons in the deck. Ultimately, I think if you keep Kazakus in the deck replacing Krul with Juraxis could be a better option as the demons he brings in could be resurrected and really set up a nice Guldan play. Dropping Kaz would allow for more demons… Another issue is the only AOE effects aside from Defile are from 2 demons, which means they’ll be played before Krul or lose value by being brought in by Krul. Anyway, just curious about the reasoning here and want to know what I’m missing.

Problem is that jaraxxus limits bloodreaver’s regaining health to 15. Krul is still a 7/9, and with a doomguard for instance, it’s good value + immediate effect + reaver re summon value. It’s still better than Jaraxxus, especially since Jaraxxus is so slow.

I haven’t actually played a Jaraxxus/ bloodreaver combo, I assumed that while the health wouldn’t be above 15, once bloodreaver was played, potential health would go back to 30. Provided that’s not the case, then that would be an obvious drawback… (now I’m going to have to check it out lol). I’m not sure I agree about the benefit of Krul either as his stats are good, but you can get better stats for the cost and it still carries the drawback of losing the battlecry.

I’ve tried the combo out myself, and I also don’t think Krul is amazing, but it works as a late game card/some slow tempo

Well, I think with the new expansion and the new demons that will be available, Krul’s value will increase quite a bit. On a side note, spent some time trying to pull off Juraxxis and Guldan back to back and that in itself is pretty hard to do before either winning (people conceding) or the opposite scenario where your losing. Pretty frustrating actually as I’m really curious if you can buff your health over 15 when you transition from Juraxxis to Guldan.

I’ve done it a couple times. Once you have played Jaraxx you can’t go above 15 health even with the bloodreaver

I think Barnes might have a place in this deck. Can get power high rolls like cairne and scalebane, but also any demon he summons will be re-summoned full size by Bloodreaver. I might try it out.

I would advise replacing a card with skulking geist, like a possesed villager

    Any replacement for Cairne?

Maybe Sunwalker? Just looking for something sticky to play on turn 6, in order to land a Bonemare target on turn 7.

Acknowledging I haven’t played the deck, generally strong cards like Soul Fire, Fire Fly or Bloodmage T are the way to go.

      Sulking geist is good too.
