I had success with this deck substituting in Defender of Argus and Stormwind Champion for the cards I didn’t have (Ragnaros and Neptulon). Argus really helped me outlast aggro, as it synergizes with totems and provides enough taunt to outlast the most stubborn of aggro. This deck has a little of everything, including board clear spells and powerful single-target spells, both of which synergize with the +spell damage minions. The healbot works great to make up for the few turns when aggro will get through. I made a Warlock burn through his complete deck and I still had 10 cards left. Killed off all of his minions and he surrendered with no cards and no minions left.

I can’t get this deck to work. It doesn’t overcome any typical Shaman weakness (which is a lot of things). You still auto-lose to Freeze Mage, you still need to draw very specific cards to counter Hunter or Zoo, you still have trouble with Priest beating you at the value game.

Lava Shock is extremely awkward to use. You typically don’t have anything good to play after unlocking the mana crystals, other than a Totem or maybe another Overload spell. You essentially get a free Holy Smite for not playing spells on curve. It’s not worth it at all.

EVEN IF the stars align, and you end up unlocking 3 or 4 mana crystals, you’re STILL not playing spells on curve, you’re STILL playing a Holy Smite in your deck for no good reason. Most importantly, to get the value you HAVE TO play those exact spells, which might not even answer what you’re opponent is doing.

Shaman is still super dead. Anyway who says otherwise is extremely skilled and lucky, or doesn’t play Shaman.

Shaman is not dead. Even tho the meta has become slightly harder from a shamans perspective its still a very good class with the fireguards really making a difference in a lot of games.
