Mulligans
General Mulligans
Jade claws is a fantastic turn 2 card that can answer most turn 1 and 2 minions. Maelstorm portal is the best answer to any decks that run patches. A strong Barnes in the early game can solidify a game for you.
Aggro Mulligans
Only keep Barnes in an aggro matchup if you have jade claws or Maelstorm Portal. Lightning storm isn't a great turn 3 play but sometimes it can be the only answer you have if you lack jade claws and Maelstorm portal
Combo Mulligans
Rogue is the only matchup I tend to keep hex just to answer an early Edwin.Hey guys, my name is SilliestBand and this is the first decklist of mine that I am posting online.
The goal of this deck is to cheat the system by playing huge, dangerous minions early on or to create threats that are very difficult to deal with by combining them with ancestral spirit. I have only been playing this deck for about a day now so any suggestions are encouraged but so far took it from rank 10-5 with a bit of ease and there is no sign of slowing down.
Ancestral spirit is a key card in making your threats even more threatening. Combos like Thing from Below or Earth Elemental combined with Ancestral Spirit create a taunt minion that fast decks like Pirate Warrior and Token Druid have an almost impossible time dealing with. In slower matches the card is great when combined with White Eyes, having anywhere between 2-4, 5 mana 10/10’s with taunt roaming around in your deck is dangerous. They also serve as great targets for Y'Shaarj, Rage Unbound.
Madam Goya is a card that can change the pace or win the game for you on turn 6. Turning one of your totems into an Y'shaarj, Rage Unbond or any of your other threats is an insane an insane swing in game tempo.
Hallazeal is your source of healing power. You can play with an extra Tidal Surge in replace of Cairne Bloodhoof if you find that you need more heal and minion removal. Volcano combined with Hallazeal is a great answer to decks that run Alexstrasza.
There are several threats and ways of winning a game but overwhelming your opponent with annoyingly hard to remove minions is the most common way. Please comment with any suggestions or questions and I will be happy to try them or answer anything I can. Thank you
I took out one volcano for a lightning storm seeing as I was running into a lot of token shaman and hunter. To wait til turn 5 to take out a board sometime left me with <15 health and I was overloaded for next turn. Otherwise I've been having fun with Goya decks recently.
