You want your card draw, and you want some removal, versus control you can keep either grumble or shudderwock to combo them faster. A doomsayer on 2 can really stop the bleeding against aggro too.
The now infamous deck, since day one of release, the combo is very strong. This list is mostly disguisedtoast’s most recent list, with a small twist.
Why nat pagle? Well one i finally just pulled one. The nerf to him from long ago is actually not too bad here, it makes him less of a priority target, and he might not overdraw you. He also gives you a 4 point buffer if he is prioritized. Farsight is another options, but it is less impact or bad tempo. A pagle on 2 can average 1.5 cards on turn 4 if unanswered on turns 2 and 3.
The main idea with your draw is that you don’t want novice engineer kinda stuff because it will overdraw you and cause you to deck, the deathrattles passive abilities, and search cards.
For those that don’t know (and really?), the battlecries you need are at least one saronite chain gang, one life drinker, grumble. Then you need a murmuring elemental to cost 1 either by grumbling it or fire fireplume harbingering it, or have the coin. On turn 10, ideally, you play your murmuring elemental, then the shudderwock, and suddenly you’re adding 3-4 1 cost shudderwock to your hand, dealing 6 or 12 damage, healing for 6 or 12 and essentially just winning.
