You don't have to play the quest on turn 1 because you're probably not going to add a point on turn two, except if you play primordial glyph on turn 2 . I'd still keep the quest in your opening hand though.
This deck tries to get the quest done as easy and effeciently as possible through lots of spellgenerating cards and secret combos to create a lot of tempo and value starting in the early game. You can use the waygate to OTK with the giants or sorcerer’s apprentice and generated spells or you can use it to stabilize.
Cards where I’m not entirely certain about are shimering tempest, kabal courrier and maybey kirin tor mage. I put the kirin tor mage in since you’re going to get a lot of secrets from the spellgenerating cards.
