Not sure… I’ve played around with Xaril in this deck and it’s been pretty huge so far, for Van Cleef activators, two more additional one mana spells, and not to mention card draw/shadowstep/+2 dmg.
From my knowledge (haven’t played N’Zoth, mainly Miracle), Xaril is mainly a tech card for Control, since the extra value he provides is great in those matchups.
Against decks like aggro & midrange (a.la Secret Hunter & Midrange Shaman), I find he doesn’t contest board enough for 4 mana. In the current meta, I personally haven’t been running him.

Bad deck, not enough deathrattles and why even include the miracle cores auctioneer and prep?
