Mulligans

General Mulligans

  1. In general you either aim to have valuable answers ready in your hand or to get value out of early discards and Malchezaar's Imp.
  2. Personally I like to to keep the Quest in my hand, but it's definitely not necessary in all match-ups, especially since I like to discard only later into the game when my hand rather consists of "discard-favorable" cards.

Aggro Mulligans

It's all about taunts and good removals.

Midrange Mulligans

Depends on the opponent's deck. Usually you play as described in general. e.g. if youre facing a midrange hunter you might want to pay even more attention to your health.

Combo Mulligans

Against Combo decks we aim to preserve as much health as possible and to finish the quest asap.

Control Mulligans

You want to get your infinite sources of minions online as fast as possible to flood the board and push for lethal.

Warlock

Welcome

This deck can be categorized as a rather control-y midrange deck with a potentially inexhaustible source of minions in the endgame.
It aims to stall early- to midgame with the use of removals and taunts while finishing Lakkari Sacrifice.

Win-Condition: Flooding the board with Lakkari Sacrifice and/or Lord Jaraxxus.

Since the Un’Goro card releases the community has been trying to come up with a viable Quest Warlock deck, which has proven to be a rather difficult task. I like to believe to have found a deck which makes great use of Lakkari Sacrifice and actually works in ladder.

I’ve  tested and refined the deck by playing against various experienced players and discussing with them certain aspects of it. In conclusion, the deck fairs quite well against the new meta, does exceptionally well in some scenarios and is rather susceptible to some other decks.

Currently I am ranking up with this deck to find and cover any weaknesses.
–> I’m going to update the list soon (although most of the cards are definite).

about myself:

I’m a rather new player (since Season 33) and I’m part of the /r/AskHearthstone community.
So far I’ve been constantly improving and I reached rank 5 for the first time in Season 36.
