      I mean, you could always run a novice engineer. Same mana cost, same health and attack, and same card draw. Just missing the Spell Damage.

      I would go for kobold geomancer. better stats than thalanos and spelldamage

    May i ask about dancing swords? It has good body for 3 mana 4/4 and draws card for opponent, it can help at the start killing most of 4-5 mana minions that deathlord summoned by death.

        nah, facehunter is fine, just ignore coldlight and do same strat with healbot instead, if you survive early with spells it’s a free win

      Also most of the time you will never get coldlight oracle, 5/9 times got only as 16-20 card.

        You should be aggressively mulliganing for coldlight, should give you better odds than what you’ve stated.

          Doesn’t help, every second game I’ll get (actually don’t draw it) till 12-14 turn, when i’m almost done basically (14-10 cards left)

    I’ve also been contemplating BGH.
    Have you tried it out?

    Usually by the late turns I am deep into the coldlight combos and can just vanish or sap though.

      Deathlord is pretty much the one card that stops aggro and pulls more cards out of the opponents deck. Regardless of what it is, you have cards like sap and Vanish to get them off the field again. Also, bloodmage is kinda needed for that card draw along with the spell power and you need that other copy of preparation. The rogue decks are pretty much based around their low cost spells and prep helps with that a whole lot.

    I have been using Mill Rogue very successfully in ranked – although I’m not super high in the ladder (rank 14). I’ve been slowly tweaking mine as I gain experience. I found that the card draw from the drakes was too much and the drake’s are far too costly. I also don’t own bloodmage.

    This looks interesting. I don’t run Deathlord – I can see how he’s a good meat shield and will help go through the opponent’s deck BUT he’s a big risk isn’t he? You are giving the opponent a free minion and I like filling their hand because mana is limited and they cannot play enough cards to keep up if I start the cold lights coming out early. I use two brewmasters so I can really play the oracle like crazy.

    I replaced my drakes with 1 shieldbearer – buys time, helps empty my hand – and 1 sludge belcher (buys time) . Then instead of of bloodmage and deathlord. I run 2 kobolds for my spell dmg increase (plus they are cheap) and I only own 1 copy of preparation so the brewmaster can fill in that slot and 1 deathlord slot. I also like the SI:7 agent of Senjin – they are cheaper and aid with minion removal plus they combo well with the brewmasters and vanish too.

    So I guess I’m saying I haven’t needed taunt much since I can always kill the minions or fill their hand and sap or vanish. I only need a tiny bit of stall – shield master and sludge belcher – because my goal is always to gang up a healbot in addition to the oracle.

    I’m very curious how you tend to play this. I’ll probably try building this version too (except the cards I lack) and compare. I FREAKING LOVE MILL ROGUE! Thanks. 🙂

      Those subs make absolutely no sense. Deathlord is an absolute essential and shieldbearers and brewmasters and kobolds (especially two of them) are all mediocre and useless. You’re at rank 14 only for a reason.

      Hate to be that guy but I don’t see how you could be using it “very successfully” but be at rank 14. Don’t misrepresent your results.

      That being said, Deathlord is incredibly powerful. Not only does he completely stall the game against aggro, he pulls a card from your opponents deck, adding to the mill, and when you combo his drop with vanishes you’ll be fine. The drawback is not all that big when you look at his incredible statline. Additionally, shieldbearer is pretty terrible and 2 kobolds is too much. I highly recommend dropping Shieldbearers and a Kobold for deathlords. Maybe then you’ll actually be able to get a high ladder ranking.

        I just think you’re wrong about that. Deathlord is, in theory, a great card for this deck, however it’s still a pretty big target on the board for an opponent, and he’s weak to a lot of removal…Since mill is naturally better against control oriented decks, I think giving them that Deathlord with a bulls-eye painted on it somewhat mitigates the natural advantage that you have in those matchups.

        I personally say run fewer creatures and more removal, as you will be able to play out as a tempo deck against aggressive decks, and force control players to stockpile cards in their hand, setting them up for vanish/mill combos. Just my two cents, but in mine, I run Brann, because he can force opponents to draw up to 4 cards from a single CLO, and Thaurissan because you will often have tons of cards in your hand, and you don’t want to waste any/mill yourself.
