This deck is such an overpowered deck. However I would not take out bloodlust. It is a must, anyone can see that. Your board is constantly full because of witch doctor. Whenever you draw bloodlust you are bound to get an amazing use out of it. I do want to say that I used this deck from rank 17, and now I’m a 7. Went 26-5 with it. I was 14-0. Very good deck Rosty!
Whenever Ooze is played instead of Harrison in ‘Pro’ decks, one can say for sure that this is a curve issue. 5 Mana instead of 2 means a lot and maybe is far more relevant than Harrison replacing himself, drawing cards or providing a bigger body on the board.
Barnes has a really good chance to pull something valuable. Worst case scenario, you get a mini Totem Golem, which is effectively a free Searing Totem, or mini Azure Drake / Thing from Below, which have Spell Damage+1 or Taunt respectively. Better, you might get:
• Mini Flametongue (Not really as valuable unless you can protect it, but it draws your opponent’s attention like nothing else. It might force them to spend removal if you can get a taunt up.)
• Mini Mana Tide (One extra card, guaranteed.)
• Bloodmage (This is basically like having a second copy of the real thing in your deck.)
• Mini Wicked Witchdoctor (This is one argument not to play Barnes on curve unless you have to, because if you can follow this up with some spells—)
• Mini Thunder Bluff Valiant (This is the other argument! If you saved enough mana for a hero power, this can produce a big tempo swing, esp. if there are other totems on board.)
How similar is this deck to a less totem based mid-range shaman deck? Are the play styles similar? Take control of board with spells and build a board of totems, and if your opponent has no answer turn aggro and push lots of damage? Also, what role does barnes serve in this deck? Thanks in advanced
In my opinion, tuskarr totemic simply doesn’t have enough value after the nerf. Before, it could give you a totem golem, flametounge, or mana tide totem for a game-winning play, but now it can’t. As seen from Disguised Toast, who made a video on this matter, on average, games where tuskarr summoned a basic totem had a below 50% winrate. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HxsFH_oFybI) That’s not enough to cut it in this list when you could be running other more powerful cards (barnes, lightning storm, etc).
replacement for barnes?
Harrison Jones, Ragnaros, or Bloodlust.
Is taking out ooze for bloodlust viable?
is the deck playable without bloodmage thalnos? any replacement?
You could try Kobold Geomancer, Bloodmage is super versatile though.

what did you replace for bloodlust?
I totally agree, Bloodlust is your main winning condition, I prefer to play with it
Why he does not take bloodlust? it is necessary
Can I replace acidic swamp ooze with harrison jones? Or is it not advisable?

That said: Just try it out for yourself!?
xixo/’s deck – barnz -> overspark
What role does Barnes serve in this deck? And is this deck played similarly to other traditional, less totem centered mid-range shaman decks?
bloodmage/azure for storm/maelstorm damage
Thunder bluff for totem buffs
mana tide for draw
witchdoctor to spawn more totems

Why is there no Tuskarr totemic in the deck? Revolves around totems but doesn’t include a free totem card?
