Mulligans
General Mulligans
Low cost spells and drawing mechanic cards will always be good to mulligan. Togwaggle because hes not part of the combo and it will be important to obtain the wand first, and if not the wand, another treasure card will still be good to keep you alive until the secondary combo can be pulled off.
Although a lot of the cards that are in standard Malygos Rogue are rotating out, we are thankfully getting a brand new form of it with the new expansion. Hopefully it will be better than before!
The object of the deck is to stall out and use draw mechanics until you get the required combo pieces:
Potential Combos
Play Heistbaron Togwaggle to get Wondrous Wand (you can play Togwaggle at any time, you just need Wand). Then once you have Myra's Unstable Element,Malygos, and Togwaggle's Scheme in hand, play Myra’s to empty your deck. Next turn play Malygos and Tog Scheme. You do this to guarantee the only cards you have in your deck are Malygos. Next turn play Wondrous Wand to draw 3 0 cost Malygos and will only need 2 damaging spells to OTK them.
OR
If Heistbaron Togwaggle doesn’t discover Wondrous Wand, Jepetto Joybuzz will be able to preform the same task just less effectively.
New vs Old Maly Rogue
Old Malyrogue revolved around cheating out Malygos with Kobold Illusionist, by using Necrium Blade and/or Necrium Vial. While this combo was much simpler than the New Malyrogue combo it was also much less consistent. The old Malyrogue was too control oriented to succeed based on the fact that Rogue sucks at control. The biggest con with New Malyrogue is that the combo now longer has the potential to be pulled off in only 1 turn, but is much more likely to be pulled off based on your improved survivability. New Malyrogue will have both better tempo and control with EVIL Miscreant and its lackeys, as well as Zilliax and Safeguard either used together or separately are very good for surviving and stalling out for your combo pieces.
Final Notes
All in all I dont think this deck will see competitive play but I think it is a deck that has the potential to be very good with practice and taking into account that your opponent will have no clue what you’re doing! Keep in mind I have no experience with this so its not play tested. If you want to try more tempo oriented, sub Safeguard and maybe even Zilliax for Gadgetzan Auctioneer. This is my first time publishing a deck on here so please give me feedback thanks!
