Mulligans

General Mulligans

Cheap draw cards are the best keepers in general because they get the cycle going. Thalnos can sometimes be handy in combination with Consecration but don't hold into him too long - he's often better used to keep the cycle going.

Aggro Mulligans

In the aggro matchup, Truesilver Champion is often key to getting you to the point where you can activate your board clears. Zilliax can help in this regard too. Consecration is very powerful against token decks.

Control Mulligans

Aside from the other cheap draw cards Prismatic Lens is normally safe to hold onto in Control Matchups, where the key is to get through your deck as quickly as possible.

A refinement of the OTK Paladin that’s existed on the fringes of the meta since Shirvallah was released with RR. This build is performing surprisingly well for me in the current meta, with the only really terrible matchup being Control Warrior (as opposed to Bomb Warrior, which is better). The only ROS addition is Nozari, which I threw in as an experiment, but it turns out he makes the deck much more viable thanks to his huge heal potential and significant body, which far outweighs the small amount you tend to heal your opponent, especially since the closing combo deals as much as 50 damage.

For those who don’t know, the closing combo is Shirvallah->Banker->Holy Wrath to face once your deck is empty. If needed, repeating the next turn generally finishes off the opponent. It’s good to save the Time Out if you think the second big Holy Wrath will be needed.
