Mulligans
General Mulligans
These cards should always be keep in the early game, vs any type of deck, due to how efficient and powerful it is in the early game
Aggro Mulligans
These are great early game cards that help you efficiently deal with aggro, beside the general must keep cards
Control Mulligans
These are the more of a win con that you can consider keeping while not facing that much of a pressure early. Only keep Servitude while you have any Barnes or Shadow Essence tho.
The main purpose of the deck is to get Ysera/ Lich King out as soon as possible, while defending yourself. I personally believe Shadow Essence and Eternal Servitude are both extremely powerful cards, given the right set up. This is some thought behind the deck building process:
1 Mana: Potion of Madness/ Power Word: Shield/ Northshire Cleric: staples in a lot of Priest deck
2 Mana:
Shadow Visions and Shadow Word: Pain: staples
Doomsayer: give you more breathing room/ tool against early aggression and can gain back the lead later to use Shadow Essence safely
No Radiant Elemental?: that card is just going to be a mediocre 2 mana 2/3 in the deck most of the time, as this deck is not really an OTK combo deck
3 Mana:
Shadow Word: Death: staple removal
Happy Ghoul: OP as fuck in priest, as a 3/3 for 2 that also heal you for 2, especially if you somehow lucky start with two of these. 2x 3/3 for FREE on turn 2 is just insane tempo play and should automatically win you the early game.
4 Mana:
Eternal Servitude: this deck 1st All-star card. The card itself can easily transform into The Lich King or Ysera later in the game, turn 5 at earliest.
Arfus: all-rounded value card. The Deathknight’s cards have really strong effect so even getting one of them is good enough
Barnes: This card enable turn 5 Lich King/ Ysera, by summoning a Lich King/ Ysera on turn 4. Absolutely bonkers, as always
Greater Healing Potion: emergency healing card just in case something bad happen
5 Mana: Onyx Bishop- Another way to get your turn 5 Lich King/ Ysera
6 Mana:
Dragon Fire Potion: staples AoE board clear
Shadow Essence: This deck 2nd all-star card. This card itself can become a 5/5 Lich King/ YSera at 6 Mana, insane value and you still have even more Lich King/ Ysera going on
8 Mana: Shadow Reaper Anduin: Great Aoe removal with extra explosive Hero Power
8-9 Mana: The Lich King/ Ysera: The Whole purpose of playing this deck in the first place: getting as many Lich King/ Ysera as you can and overwhelm the enemy with value from these 2.
