General Mulligans

Always great choices to have those 5 in your starting hand. It can provide such great early aggression that it may really get you ahead of the game. If it comes down to fatigue where you have to Reno to survive those cards for the start would be amazing for you.

Hi there! My name is DoomSpammer and I have tested a quite fun deck out of a curiosity and it turned out really well in ranked with almost 70% win rate in there. I guess you could give it a try so I will put it up here for you to enjoy ^^

Basics: A Reno standard deck. Acts similarly to a token populate deck. You have enough healing and draw engine to keep you going. The oddity here are 2 of each: Mire Keeper and Druid of the Claw. Why is that? Because they both provide too much utility to pass on. With Mire Keeper you can either get yourself a bit of a ramp or more board presence while Druid of the Claw is both an aggressive or a safe defensive play.

All legendaries chosen are basically really good late game control. Either damage, or more spells or simply board sustain with Ysera. Finally Elise Starseeker is there to ensure that if you don’t win by then you can just easily swap your deck with some legendaries for a fresh start.

General idea:

Your main goal with this deck is to either hyper rush in the early game with staples like Living Roots

Power of the Wild and keep populating and expanding the board. You have strong early minions and then in the midgame you have plenty of forms of population, mainly  Silver Hand Knight and Mire Keeper. You have plenty of removal as well so you can keep your board intact. The whole deck’s construction is all about safe plays to maintain your board and keep ahead. You start ahead you usually have 100% of winning. If early agression fails, you will be able to hold off in the late game thanks to some really powerful staples, legendaries and cards that act out to bring victory. Reno Jackson is a really safe, emergency button that you can push to reset yourself and try to win from there. It is more a last resort than a necessity most of the time.

WHY SPECIFIC CARDS?

Mire Keeper – two copies, you will need to draw one before being able to use Reno. Simply way too good value in midgame providing you with either more ramp for your late game killers or another minion on the board you can use to go on and keep the advances on the board

Silver Hand Knight – simple token maker, useful for more board presence

Druid of the Claw – two copies, you will need to draw one before being able to use Reno. Very versatile card providing you with either more rush, or more defense

Ironbark Protector – it can be replaced with a card of your choice. However decent body and the taunt has proven really useful so far

Volcanic Lumberer – because of the populate and attack mechanic that the deck can use, this card can come quite early out and you can exploit it to its fullest

Ragnaros the Firelord – self explanatory, must have

Nefarian – Often times, while testing the deck, I needed a 9 drop that could provide me with some extra cards or keep some of my control intact. Nefarian has proven to be the most useful

Ysera – A card that left untouched can win on its own, so very nice to have.

Elise Starseeker – Often times the games may drag out. If that is the case, this card has been the key to a lot my victories. Allowing me to switch my burned out combos (in the late game) for legendaries that I can keep calling and just overruning the enemy

Sir Finley Mrrgglton – He is a really good 1 drop. The hero power change can come really hand just so you can change your strategy a bit depending on what you are facing.

SUBSTITUTIONS

Ironbark Protector – If you don’t like it, Sylvanas Windrunner has worked pretty well for me. Other choices may vary according to your preferences or to counter specific decks you are facing

Ragnaros – Quite hard to change… you should have him really. If not, then an 8 drop monster with high value would do (not so much, but you can try)

Ysera – You could if you have, use Deathwing. Although risky, it can work out in the very late game. You could also try Cenarius. If you don’t have those legendaries, then try buffing the early game with something more, or just replace it with something you may have

THAT IS ALL THAT I HAVE IN MY MIND. IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS OR WANT TO ASK CARD SUBSTITUTIONS I WILL ANSWER IN THE COMMENTS ^_^

If you put infinite Jade Idol your Reno panic button will basically be gone. For that slot I believe Elise is best to be honest. You could try! And let me know how it works
