The galaxy mage deck is a deck designed to fetch your legendary Tower 7 spell to flood the creature board until the opponent can no longer handle them.

The essential point to understand is that we must get our fate on lap 7 where the importance of having only one spell in the deck to be able to go dig with the familiar raven.

Advantages:

Key cards

The key card is Luna’s legendary pocket galaxy without hesitation. The advantage is that with the Raven Familiar’s mechanic I had drawn the spell 9 times out of 10 before turn 7 (when I was not dead before).

Always keep the raven in hand if possible unless you have the spell directly through the mulligan.

The third card to quote is Luna the astronomer for the late game since the latter will allow you to go draw many creatures by playing the cards on the right of your hand that will cost 1 mana.

How to play the deck?

As I said, you absolutely have to keep the raven familiar in hand to fetch the spell. For the rest, we must also remove all creatures to more than 4 mana because the goal will be to reduce their cost later.

Against Aggro: Along with the Raven Pet, we’ll be looking for the Stonehound Defender or Tar Rampers to protect themselves and also to recover the Battleship Scarab to retrieve some armor. You have to survive until turn 7 with the possibility to play the spell but I do not hide you, on this kind of match-up, it is practically impossible mission.

Against Tempo: It is already better to play because the exit is a little slower in general. We must therefore adopt the same strategy as against Aggro and the match will be won depending on the exit of the opponent.

Against control: Beware of AOE, you have to be cunning. The strategy against tempo is good too but the difference is that it is absolutely necessary to fill the board with creatures that are not too important for your opponent to empty the board but that on your side you have kept gamebreaker cards for the game. end (The Lich King – Giant Mountains) …

Play well Alexstrasza

This card has a monstrous value on the late game since when you have taken control of the board, you can literally finish your opponent by fixing him his life points to 15. If on top of that your board is filled with big creatures you can almost speak of an OTK!

    This Deck works great for me. I did a few changes (Removing Star alligner, devilssour and sindragosa. Adding Aluneth, Leeroy, astromancer and meteorologist for more consistency). Especially meteorologist is insane because it acts like a mini 1 mana c‘thun, spreading 9 to 8 damage most of the time. I only loose when i draw realy realy bad at the beginning and play against agro, which is quite rare. Most interesting deck i played since the boomsday launched.

        No works fine for me 🙂 It realy depends on the situation tho… I only play aluneth when my luna is dead to keep the minion chain going.

    I will definitely try this out. Just don´t have Sindragosa, guess i replace her with Skulking Geist or some draw a card dude.

    What if you play vs a mage with counterspell? Even big spell mage can discover it from Arcane Keysmith.
    Maybe add some minion that gives u a random spell? Or Chief Inspector to destroy secrets.

      it’s hard to win if there is a counter-spell. It’s a bad match-up. Monsanto, for example, is gaining speed and it’s hard to stick to it until the spell is cast. On the other hand, the big spell mage does not play the general role. You can get around this with the coin. The idea of the chief inspector is excellent.
      In place of sindragosa you can put a bulldozer that combs well with zilliax.

    I wonder if star aligners could be good here, the most of your minions have 7 or 8 hp, so just use ping to become 8 hp to 7 hp and use your star aligners :v

          I tested and this function super good! you’re right, as I can ping my creatures with 8 life, it works well. I removed my two deranged doctors and replaced them with two aligners.

    Looks like a fun deck i would like to try, just need the pocket galaxy spell. I wonder if a card like witchwood piper would be useful to draw out the raven for some more consistency.

      thank you it’s interesting. however, I am not sure that it is necessary. I’m close to one hundred games with this deck list and in 90% of the cases, I have either the raven or the spell in hand before turn 7.
      I will see if I can still add it.
      in any case, this deck amuses me a lot and it beats a lot of deck of the current meta.
      its weak point is the warlock zoo and the monsanto mage.
