Mulligans
General Mulligans
Always try to mulligan for a 1 drop minion.
Keep in mind, you only keep a secret during the mulligan phase if you've got Secretkeeper.
Miss Mysterious Challenger?
Don’t play wild??
Tired of all these goddamn hunters???
Hit rock bottom and are prepared to be a degenerate????
Well, look no further, pal, for I have for you a deck which will allow you to climb the ranks of ladder just like a certain eunuch from a certain show about thrones would (with whispers and secrets) 😉
This is Secret Pally! Test the wits and memory of each of your opponents by spamming pally secrets and hoping they f#ck up and play right into them (ngl a lot of people aren’t playing around secrets efficiently so this happens more often than you think it does hehe).
Folks, watch as that scummy hunter fumbles, red-faced, to make the correct play as you drop Secretkeeper on Turn 1 and cockblock their secrets. Watch them slowly sink into depression as they incorrectly play into a Noble Sacrifice instead of a Redemption. Watch their health slowly deplete as your Knife Juggler buddies pelt dagger after dagger at the faces of your enemies. Watch their blood spill onto the board as your Vicious Fledgling viciously assaults them. With the Blessing of Kings willing you forward, and the holy blessing of Sunkeeper Tarim, you will break past lowly ranks to win the Divine Favor of our Lord and Saviour, Ben Brode.
I’ve been wanting to test Mojomaster Zihi in this deck but I only just packed her and I don’t have much time to do so, so if anyone would like to test it for me, -1 x Argent Protector / -1 x Blessing of Kings for +1 Mojomaster Zihi.
MATCHUPS:
Hunter
Mage
Warrior
Warlock
Shaman
Paladin
Druid
Super fun deck and the only one I’m finding success with in the current meta.
I’ve tried subbing both Litch King and shirvallah the Tiger for Train had good luck with both but found Litch King gave me a little more staying power. Plus pulling anti-matter shell on a developed board is almost an instant win.
*Tiram
Hey! I absolutely love this deck and want to play it, but I don’t have Sunkeeper Tarim. Is there any way to play this deck without him?
You can technically play without Tarim, yes, but it’s a big loss tbh. I don’t know if I’d recommend crafting him as he’ll rotate in April. You can replace him with Leeroy, Mojomaster Zihi, or realistically any aggressive card that you would’ve seen in the Kobolds and Catacombs’ Aggro Pally decks, like Blessing of Might or Lost in the Jungle (which benefits greatly from Tarim if you don’t draw it really early). Maybe a Spikeridged Steed could work. If you try out any of these, let me know how it goes, I’m always trying to improve my decks 🙂
Thanks for the suggestions. I’ve tried a bunch of them out and some other cards as well, and I’ve been able to rise from rank 17 to 12 without Tarim. Here are the best ones:
Blessing of Might/Leeroy: These two are the best fits I’ve found. Without Tarim, the Warlock (especially control and cube) matchup gets a lot harder. These have been really helpful for hammering through the voidlords and keeping the pressure up
Lost in the Jungle: Even without Tarim, the is a great way to keep the pressure up and is great for the boosts that come with Unidentified Maul and Funglemancer. Only issue with this one that is keeping me from using it is that secrets like redemption can be wasted on the recruits
Repentance: I didn’t think this would work, but it has been a huge help against Odd Warrior (especially the quest version) and Control Warlock. It is much better if you can draw it early and keep it until the late game. It has one major downside though: it is completely wasted if spawned by Bellringer Sentry
Currently, I am trying out consecration as an option against board flood decks like Odd Paladin and Even Shaman, and ill try out Mojomaster if I ever have the dust to craft it. Thanks so much for this awesome deck and I hope you keep making great decks like this in the future.
I don’t tend to leave comments but I take my hat off to you sir. Absolutely savage deck, played 5 games won 4 (even against Odd rogue). I’ve learned with this deck is that you need to be very disciplined when playing and not running out of cards too early.
I also love the detailed description in this ????
Thanks for the comment, I appreciate it a lot 🙂
I guess I’ve just been super unlucky against Odd Rogue as by turn 4 their board is too much for me to handle – not even Call to Arms could pull me back. I’ll definitely try to stay in my Odd Rogue matchups now!
Nice idea dude defo gonna try this deck. Love the detailed description also 🙂
Thanks dude, let me know how you go!
Well only done 3 games so far. 1st Quest Odd Warrior that somehow I managed to win.
Think this deck won’t work because of the strength of hunter as next 2 games I played a Odd Rogue and Mage and got blown out because of Chief Inspector lol which is probably a tech pick for hunter and not secret pally. Think a lot of hunters are running flare now too.
Still a fun deck and good idea. I’ll keep playing a few more games and hopefully get some hunters.
Keep going mate, you’ll get there. I’ll update the description with matchups now.
