    This is my basic prototype for a deck centered around a 2+ Corridor Creeper/Tundra Rhino lethal via Stitched Tracker that I’m currently playing around rank 13.

    Spell-Hunter felt like the natural choice for this strategy; with only eight minions in the deck your basically guaranteed to draw Corridor Creeper off Stitched Tracker every time–or at worst another Stitched Tracker. In addition, quite a few Hunter Secrets will put fodder for your creepers on the board to “eat”: Snake Trap, Cat Trick, Wandering Monster (Did not use Monster). Because the Secrets work so well as Corridor Creeper fodder and support draws off of Stitched Tracker, I put in two Lesser Emerald Spell Stones in and two Cloaked Huntresses (finishing out my eight minions).

The basic result has been either 3-4 wolves of off Lesser Emerald spell Stone between turns 5 and 8, and or 2-3 Corridor creepers ready to go, as soon as you get Tundra Rhino, between turns 5 and 8. Making you pretty formidable Mid-game.

With so many cards devoted to mid-game lethals, the deck can be a little slow at the outset. Secrets, especially combined with Cloaked Huntress, help with that. Cat Trick draws attention early game and basically guarantees 4 damage and Snake Trap can be a partial clear early game, which is all great b/c these double as Creeper fodder cards. Additionally, I threw in double explosive trap as a hedge against rush warlocks, murloc paladins, etc… I also like snipe as a solid way to help keep the board clear through turn 4.

The Last 11 cards are:

On the Hunt– occasionally a removal, provides creeper fodder, damage that has kept me from being stuck without a beast for Kill Command

Tracking–There are basically no draws in this deck, this is a great card for thinning out your deck down to the cards you need while drawing one you’d like.

Flare–This deck is not quite fast enough to face down a freeze mage, really need flare to blow the Ice Block off.

Eaglehorn Bow–6+ damage for 3 mana that works with your secrets

Animal Companion– Provides a good minion (the pig is great!) without cluttering up your Stitched Tracker draws.

Kill Command– This is a beast deck and it’s just great damage for the cost.

Multi-Shot– A total filler that will sometimes come through for you.

That’s about it for my iteration of this type of deck. I think the secrets and spells are pretty interchangeable with other cards, so I’d be pumped to hear if anyone has any better ideas for this deck!

    I could see Explosive shot as a solid 1 to 1 replacement. I will try it out.

    I don’t really see where Highmane would fit in, though. The deck is based around whittling pressure and then big damage from the Spell Stones and/or multiples of low-to-no cost Corridor Creepers with Tundra Rhino. I think it would really interfere with pulling the latter.

      This is a really interesting deck! I will be trying it out with a few changes. I agree with Crapcrack that Multi-Shot is not a great card. He suggested that you add Explosive Shot to the deck. However, a card that I would really love to see in the deck is Flanking Strike. It’s a spell (so it doesn’t mess with trying to find Creeper’s via Stitched Tracker), it removes a minion (which is good), and you get a solid body (which this deck needs). It is also a common, so it is very easy to add to this budget list. It may be strong enough to run two copies of it.

      Another replacement I am going to test is replacing On the Hunt with Candleshot. While Candleshot does not have a body with it, it does provide more removal potential against minions like Patches and pesky Murlocs.

      I will let you know how this deck performs with these cards!

        Hell yeah, man!

        My hope is that people will pick up on the basic Idea and build with it to make a good deck. I generally agree with you on the addition of flanking strike, i’d particularly like to find a spot for 2.

        As far as candle shot goes, I think that’s more than a solid replacement. In my experience I’m sitting on about a 50% win rate past rank 15 and some of that is due to getting rushed.

          Hi,

          After testing the original deck and then a version with improved cards, I could tell that the deck performed better. I achieved a significantly higher winrate. However, significantly higher in this case means from about 40% to 50%. Even trying radically different cards, such as Crackling Razormaw to give the Creepers windfury or +3 attack while also getting 3 more charge damage, was not able to get me to a solid win percentage.

          The main problem this deck has, and it’s been this way since the Starving Buzzard nerf, is that you can’t draw cards. Sure, you have Flares, but you don’t really want to spend 2 mana to draw a card and do nothing else. I think this is a really cool deck idea, but you have to draw your Creeper’s relatively early, and this just isn’t possible. If Hunter gets a card similar to Elven Minstrel in the upcoming expansion, then this deck will be so much better. For now though, I think it’s too inconsistent.

          If you continue to use this deck, I would definitely consider adding Flanking Strikes, Candleshots, and maybe a Spellbreaker, which can help get rid of big taunts that mess up your combos. I really hope this kind of midrangy burst Hunter get’s more support in the upcoming expansion!

    tbh Expl. shot is better than Multi shot, Why not run Highmane?
