This is my take on the very popular Exodia Paladin deck.
I’ve been playing Exodia Paladin since Boomsday when it was really just an off-meta fun deck. Whilst I had ok results the new expansion has massively helped the archetype.
For me I think the pixie is a must have. It gives you a much easier way to combo with the coin and 2 horsemen in hand. It also frees up Zola for Lynessa which can really help you stave off those pesky hunters. Shirvallah is another great card to Zola…2x’s Shirvallah with Crystal Smith pretty much a full heal.
I don’t run the Sunkeeper because 1. I don’t have him and 2. He’s a dead card against odd paladin which is still pretty rampart for me. You can sometimes get him off Stonekeeper though.
i only run 1 CTA because I think 2 is overkill. You don’t always want to play it if you haven’t drawn your pyro’s and you’re playing a hunter.
A few other tips:
1. Where possible Flash of light a minion to get more card draw from Lynessa later on.
2. Save a Righteous protector for a turn 7 protector into Steed.
3. Dont be afraid to Zola your Lynessa or Shirvallah if needed.
4. Be greedy with your board clears…get as much value as possible. The deck has a lot of sustain and can make some huge comebacks.
5. Don’t be too greedy with Time out. Whilst it can help you finish the game, sometimes you just need to play it earlier.
6. Try to save Crystalsmith for a big heal or at the very least a combo with FoL.
