The Basics

This deck is all about having tempo and healing in the early-mid game and generating tons of value in the late-game. Cards that are especially helpful in filling those goals include Stonehill DefenderElise the Trailblazer and Baku the Mooneater.

This deck utilizes the power of the best upgraded hero power in the game to stay on board so it’s really easy to save a lot of high-value cards in the hand and play a big card (such as Wyrmguard) after a big card and finish all of your opponent’s removal.

That’s Odd, Why is This Card Here?

Some cards may look weird in the context of odd paladin; some of them are relatively weak compared to other cards; and some seem to not fit at all.

Dragonmaw Scorcher looks like it has anti-synergy, but in games it helps you clear boards when your opponent doesn’t expect it, especially with Shrink Ray

Elise the Trailblazer provides a lot of value later in the game while still having a good body for (5).

A New Challenger... looks weak, but it’s a big minion that the opponent doesn’t want to use removal on and it helps discounting Shirvallah, the Tiger that can turn games by itself.

is a 4/11 with taunt, and if they use removal on it, they wouldn’t have it for cards like Ysera

But How Do I win?

Against control and combo decks, you can take the mid-range approach and put ~3 medium sized minions on the board that they have to kill every turn. Your best card in this type of game is Shrink Ray that can clear the board of your opponent when they have “the big turns” (e.g. Bloodreaver Gul'dan). This deck is always better in fatigue, because of the choice to play big cards instead of card-draw.

Against aggressive and tempo decks, you have A LOT of Taunts and healing – 11 Taunt cards (+2 from Stonehill Defender) with 5 of them having Divine Shield. with 4 cards that directly heal you, half of your deck is really good against aggro.

In most cases, you just play your cards, heal a considerable amount, push the button, play big cards in the endgame, and win the game.
