Mulligans

General Mulligans

Mostly in the beginning you want minions to contest your board and defend your spell damage totems for big burst combos like lava burst and electra. However, you eventually want minions that can help contest the board and defend against Midrange/Aggro decks like tar creeper or unbound elemental.

Control Mulligans

In most control match-ups you want the general mulligan in order to burst down your oponent before they have the mana to answer your board. However, against specifically Odd Warrior and Quest priest (if they get the amara off early), you need to just set up for your late game and assemble a massive board of 8/8's or 7/8's to take care of your opponent. Most importantly for these matchups you want your other cards to either burn away any armor or bait out Anduin in order to defend against massive board clears.

Ever wanted to make Odd Shaman work? Well you’re not alone and this may be the list for you. My thoughts when making this deck was to take advantage of being able to always choose the spell damage totem in the early game. Then in the late game keep your big minions alive by summoning healing totems in a Aggro + Overload Hybrid Shaman.

Early Game (Aggro Shaman)

What’s most important about this deck is that you can deal lots of damage to you oponents face with Lightning Bolt or Lava Burst and clear enemy minions efficiently with Lightning Storm in combination with your hero power and always being able to get Wrath of Air Totem . Cards like Wartbringer and Voltaic Burst are very efficient early game cards that help you make big boards early on for Bloodlust to finish off your oponent. However, possibly the best card for bursting down your oponent early is Electra Stormsurge and you almost always want to draw it in the Early Game before your oponent can recover.

Mid to Late Game (Overload Shaman)

Due to all the overload cards in the early game, the costs of any Snowfury Giant in your hand and deck will be greatly reduced. Then if put in combination with Lesser Sapphire Spellstone you can create a large board of 8/8’s to finish off your opponent. If you are unable to spellstone your giant, Earth Elemental is a good secondary option.

During this you want to use your hero power to either create Stoneclaw Totem‘s or Healing Totem‘s in order to keep your giants at high health. This allows them to trade in with big minions and recover so they can’t be easily cleared by removal.
