Mulligans

General Mulligans

All 1-drops except for Skaterbot are good to start the match with. Do not keep more than 2 1-mana drops to solidify your drops

Aggro Mulligans

Ensure that you do not stack both Gatekeepers in a single unit, as you have not many early taunts to defend yourself.

Midrange Mulligans

Skaterbot will allow an early trade against 2-health minions, and Unidentified Maul can give a solid boost when the right Battlecry is identified.

Combo Mulligans

Beside the 1 drops from General, having sturdy mechs and a sudden upgrade to your dudes can give a sudden tempo that Combo decks may not be able to reply against.

Control Mulligans

Control will have a lot of power to counter your weak minions, so having Liam early on will help you (he has more value if you go second as well). Since you'll spend a lot of cards on a single minion, which can end up being countered by a single answer, Divine Favor will fetch more cards for you in those cases.

This deck is a prototype for creating a midrange. leaned-towards-aggro Odd Paladin incorporating the new mech synergies from the Boomsday expansion. The objective of this deck is to create powerful mechs while also dishing out numerous tokens to ensure board dominance.

The lower number of mechs allows the construction of at least 4 powerful mechs, focused on either Nightmare Amalgam or Mechano-Egg to ensure a game-turning Kangor's Endless Army. While the decks had a weaker board on turns 5-6 (usually when the Egg is played), it pays up with its deathrattle and powerful comeback in Endless Army. And Divine Favor  has incredible synergy due to the low card count in hand after growing up a mech!

Now, for the more awkward cards. Skaterbot is the weakest mech link in an odd package, but when drawn early it can provide early board control. Prince Liam boosts your deck’s power level later on, preventing Skaterbot embarrassments on topdeck wars. Zilliax may not be the most effective Seal of Champions, but the potential Lifesteal and a stronger mech in Endless Army brings balance later on.

Finally, Level Up loses part of its luster with the absence of Vinecleaver. Potential cards to replace for the weapon include a copy of Wargear, a copy of Nightmare Amalgam, or even Liam if the power boost isn’t enough after some test runs. And as tempting as it is to remove Mechano-Eggs from the deck, it’ll weaken your resurrect spell against board clears.

Hope you enjoy playing with this deck. Feel free to leave feedback from either wins or losses.
