Get tempo and board control with these cards in the early game. If you have INNERVATE you can keep DRUID OF THE CLAW, SLUDGE BELCHER and KEEPER OF THE GROVE to.

Hey Guys,

this is my Tempo Ramp Druid. The goal with this deck is to reach the 7 Mana much earlyer then your enemy and spam big minions much before he can. For this i use some unregular cards like Nourish or even Starfall and NO Force of Nature-Combo.

Guide

Early Game – Ramp up and Survive

In the early game you have to get board control and get a mana advantage. Use your Wrath and Living Roots to control the board and Wild Growth to get tempo. Your Darnassus Aspirant is the perfect card for getting tempo and control the board! An Innervate into Keeper of the Grove, Sludge Belcher or Druid of the Claw is very nice to stop most Aggro decks and get much tempo.

Midgame – Whait… What Midgame?

If the deck runs right you simply don’t have a midgame. At round 5 or 6 you play a Nourish into a Ragnaros the Firelord or Cenarius and give your enemy hard minions to deal with. If you don’t get it play Starfall, SwipeDruid of the Claw, Sludge Belcher and Keeper of the Grove to control the board.

Lategame – Spam Big Minions

Once you reach 7 or 8 mana you have to spam big minions. Your enemy has a removal? No problem here comes the next big treat. Use Nourish, Wild Growth  and maybe Wrath to refill your hand and think of it – Nourish into Innervate give you a Dr. Boom at 10 Mana.

Card Choices

In this deck I play some cards which are very unregular. In this section I explain my choices

  • Darnassus Aspirantis a card which gives you MUCH tempo. It has pseudo taunt wich is nice for aggro decks and gives you more mana in control match ups – very nice!
  • Nourish is the heart of this deck. It gives you much tempo (remeain you get 2 MANA crystals which are NOT empty, so you can play a Wrath or Darnassus Aspirant after it) and gives you card draw for the late game – very nice (in this deck)!
  • Starfall is your removal OR AOE damage. Use it to clear the board or a big minion. It’s your 3rd and 4th Swipe.
  • Justicar Trueheart is a card which is not seen often in Druid decks. It gives you some surviabitly in the late game and a bit more firepower.
  • Alexstrasza is a nice drop for round 7 together with Innervate or to bring yourself back to 15 live.
  • Cenarius give you taunts or is a minion with a Savage Roar-Battlecry to finish your opponents.

Feel free to give me tips and your opinion! Have fun!

Can i replace Ancient of War with The Black Knight?

sure , but it depends on the Meta
Acient of War fulfills often a defensive role, mostly used against aggressive decks

but it turned out that its too vulnerable against silence but against secret Paladin a good play too lsow him down

Blacknight is definetly a good techcard against big taunts like sludge or in general Handlocks big taunts
but handlock is almost out of the game and to put BK in just for Sludge is unneccesarry

But this type of Ramp Druid has shown its real weakness in the Winter championship

I would not recommend it at the moment
