Mulligans
General Mulligans
For a general mulligan I like to have some 1 or 2 cost creatures in my starting hand. Once you have a couple of those, it can be worth keeping a Seadevil Stinger (especially with the coin) to combo out a larger murloc like a Warleader on turn 3 or 4, into a Megasaur.
Against decks you know will rely on some 1/1 minions early, the Blowgill Sniper has the advantage of taking one off the board when played.
Wanted to work toward getting golden Warlock, and happened to get a Warlock quest, so I hunted for Warlock decks that could help out. Saw a Murloc-based deck, and tweaked it a bit to get it closer to what I wanted. What was surprising was how strong the Seadevil Stingers are; getting Finja out on turn 3 with a Coin->Seadevil->Finja is a great combo, but Seadevil->Murloc Warleader and Seadevil->Coldlight Seer are also both strong moves on turn 3-4 with some murlocs on deck.
I’m not a legend player, but I did climb to from rank 10 to rank 5 (dad legend!) using this, and it did fairly well overall. Evolve Shaman was probably my worst matchup, especially when they had multiple AoEs or got the Devolve out at the right time. Best may have been tied between Jade Druid and Quest Rogue; it’s fast enough to generally beat quest rogue, and seems to be strong against Druid, with Swipe being the main thing to watch for.
