Been running -1 counterfeit coin – 2 azure drakes +2 small-time buccaneers +1 shiv
for more early game control / hitting face
This deck easily otks on turn seven doing mid 20s damage. The dream: coins & auctioneer in hand, red mana wyrm + conceal turn 6 turn seven auctioneer mana wyrm grows like crazy hits face dead.
Coldblood is too much of a dead card to include imo, now that you have another dead card in the form of the coin, you need to be ahead or have chargers for coldblood to even be useful – you need something which will work as both a cheap cycle or early game presence to combat loosing before your gagetzan turn – of which I think “journey below” is perfect. Definitely replace coldblood with it.
I like coldblood a lot more just for pressure lethal and conceal combo
With the added coins diluting draw consistency you will die before you get to play them.
Yeah I know the dead cards really pollute your deck before Wyrm/Auctioneer, but this was just a theorycraft. Haven’t even tried out yet, because EU and other personal matters.
Pirate decks really seem to be a problem at the point anyway and not the deck itself. I might even try to wait till the meta slows down before testing. I just have so much to do with all kinds of decks right now 🙂
Cuz this Red Mana Wyrm have a lot of durbality/life (6) so he can survive big AoE + he gain attack pernamenty, not for one turn. It’s not a stupid idea to play it fast, conceal it and try to make a OTK.
Why play these and not Mana Addict or Questing Adventurer?
Addict has less hp, adventurer doesnt gain as much dmg
Maybe it would be best to run red mana worm and adventurer. That way your deck has multiple win conditions.
