Other low cost cards are also good on starting had, but most of them depend on having minions so be careful against aggro. The mulligan for this is pretty intuitive.
I have been playing this deck before the buff and it proved to work very well after it (though the card itself doesnt feel that much).
Instead of playing tempo like many other libram paladin, this one is kinda more slow-face / combo deck. It gets kinda complicated to do so, but you can do heavy amounts of damage in a single turn thanks to Liadrin and Kael.
Its kind of an easy win when you draw the correct cards (tempo cards at the start), but actually it heavily depends on good draw against certain matches.
