If I dont have Cube, umbra and vilespine, can I replace them with anything?
What do you guys think about the leeroy + cold blood package? I find it awkward at times because the deck is not trying to rush down the opponent’s life total but trying to build a midrange solid board state with your deathrattles
Is there any world in which you would cut cold bloods for preps and leeroy for maybe another slayer, just to support the deathrattle/ board control engine?
I’ve been in lategame situations where leeroy+cube+blade gave me three leeroys in one turn. Also with one vial I’ve gotten 4 new leeroys for 5 mana the turn after said combo. Crazy! Cold blood isn’t only to be used on leeroy as a finisher but is used to buff your eggs and/or any other minion depending on the situation. It’s an aggro deck after all, and the burst damage is useful. Fitting prep into the deck is a good idea, but personally i wouldn’t remove neither leeroy or cold blood, too useful. There are different versions of this archetype and many include preps, maybe you could check them out 🙂

What would be a suitable replacement for spiritsinger umbra?
I’m suggesting one prep, sprint, or sonya shadowdancer but would be nice with deckposter’s opinion 🙂
I think umbra is irreplaceable because if the opponent can’t get rid of umbra, the game is over.
Also, as you know 9-mana combo, umbra, and cube, is too powerful to replace with anything.
Umbra surviving is a big if though. Very weak stat line so more often than not it takes on the role of a soft taunt to stall out the game a tiiiiny bit. I’d personally put in another Vilespine, or take out one of the Shineyfinders and put in two preps, or just stick the one in. Lots of things you can do for a budget version 🙂 but don’t believe that you absolutely cannot play a functioning deathrattle rogue this meta without Umbra because that is not true. Many lists do not include it. Mad fun if you do for sure, like Rotspring, but not essential and maybe not even that good.
Have you thought about scrapping Loot Hoarder for Sunfury Protector? It gives you more sturdy 2-drop and makes you a little less vulnerable to Aggro since you can easily taunt up Eggs, Devilsaurs, and Mechanical Dragons on curve with the added benefit of protecting your Deathrattles so you can use Necrium Vial.
Managed to make it work without umbra and some slight changes:
-1 Spiritsinger Umbra +1 Sonya Shadowdancer
-1 Blightnozzle + 2 Eviscerate
-1 SI:7 Agent
Climbed from rank 3 to legend with this, currently at 7929. Very strong deck once you learn it!
Sonya is a really cool addition to the deck. It’s no replacement for umbra but it can win you games as well if left unchecked
