Mulligans

Introduction

This deck has some elements of both Secret-Hunter and Deathrattle-Hunter, but as a special ingredient it features Flark's Boom-Zooka which, in my opinion, is a underestimated card. Besides Spiritsinger Umbra this deck only runs Deathrattle Minions, which means that Flark's Boom-Zooka almost always will give you some nice minions on the board and also kill a couple of the opponents board. Even if Flark's Boom-Zooka draws out Spiritsinger Umbra, it will synergize well with you deathrattle minions most of the time.

Early-Game:

In the early-game you mulligan for your secrets (If you have secrets often keep Lesser Emerald Spellstone ), Candleshot and Animal Companion. If you have some cards to get you through the first two rounds, or if your opponent doesn’t play an aggressive deck, you should consider keeping Flanking Strike and Lesser Emerald Spellstone. In some match-ups you can even consider keeping Deathstalker Rexxar.

The most important thing in the early-game is to prevent your opponent to get to much board presence, but in general you have a lot of things to do that.

Mid-Game:

In the mid-game you have a lot of great tools for most situations. Lesser Emerald Spellstone  is a good option to get some heavy board-presence and it’s an alright card even though you haven’t upgraded it. During the Mid-Gameou have a lot of powerfull minions (Savannah Highmane, Cairne BloodhoofMechanical Whelp) and the possibility to trigger their Deathrattles with Play Dead  or Spiritsinger Umbra

Deathstalker Rexxar is a very good card in most math-ups to play during the mid-game, especially because this deck, doesn’t rely much on the 2 dmg Hunter-Hero power. This card provides you with an almost unlimited amount of strong minions, which you can adapt to the specific situations you face. It’s interactive characteristic often leads to funny and sometime unexpected plays and combos. It also serves as a board clear.

The main task during the Mid-Game is to dominate the board with minions.

Late-Game:

Your win-condition is almost always to overwhelm and kill your opponent with heavy minions. Flark’s Boom-Zooka is an extremely powerful 8-drop in this deck – it often kills a couple of your opponents minions and also giving you powerfull Deathrattle Effects. Kathrena Winterwisp is also a very good late-game card if you still has at least one Savannah Highmane in your deck. The effect of Deathstalker Rexxar allows you to keep a constant pressure during the entire Late-Game.

I hope you’ll give this deck a try and you find as entertaining and powerfull as i do!

I think Abominable Bowman it’s better than Cairne in this deck, because it’s a bigger body and it is very posible that a beast already died before you can use the Boom-Zooka. What do you think?

I don’t think it’s better- The problem is that it’s more unstable: in best case you get out a savanah highmane – but it will much more likely summon an animal companion, 3/3 wolf from flanking strike, a hound or the hyena from highmane.

You can replace Cairne with a second animal companion og spiderbomb. Whether it’s worth crafting spirit singer umbra is a matter of perspective: It’s a great card that you can use in several decks, but the disadvantage is that it will rotate out next spring.

I am only missing Kathreena, any replacement for it? or is it a must?

It’s possible, but it will weaken the deck since Kathrena is such a powerful card. You can consider: houndmaster shaw, second animal companion or Spiderbomb.
