No early game Invokes feels a little wonky. All 4 of your Invokes are sitting at 5 mana which means you have 0 chance to proc a Fate Weaver before turn 6. I might trim a Ringer and one Shield for the 1 cost Disciples for free Invokes. Probably a lot more consistency on getting a Fate out midgame to discount vital things. Are the early draws THAT powerful compared to the Invoking power?
I’m having trouble figuring this one out. I see Leeroy -> Grave Rune + Reborn -> SW:Death, but that’s only 4×6 = 24 damage. I’m guessing therefore that you also need at least 1 Shadowy Figure and pop through Mass Hysteria? Even with the Fate Weaver discounts, is there enough mana for all that?
If you use both fate weavers with Leeroy, both Grave Rune, Embalming Ritual, and Breath of the Infinite in your hand you can go: Leeroy face, 6 damage (3 mana) –> Grave Rune (2 mana, 5 mana total) –> Grave Rune (2 mana, 7 mana total) –> Embalming Ritual (0 mana, 7 mana total) –> Breath of the infinite, summoning 5 more Leeroys for 30 damage, 36 damage total (1 mana, 8 mana total)
So if you invoke twice in the early game and have an amazing draw you could do this turn 8, and if you’re damaging the other hero you might not need full combo to kill them off
Other than fate weavers which you have to use to pull off the combo you don’t have any other dragons in the deck, so breath of the infinite will never proc the “enemies only”
I suppose you don’t even need the 2nd Grave Rune and/or Embalming Ritual if you’ve drawn shadowy figures since each lets you nearly double your Leeroy damage for 0 if discounted, 2 mana if top-decked. A combo deck with versatility–cute.
He’s doing an example, if you use 2 times Fate Weaver.
Anyway you don’t necessarily have to discount Leeroy, the combo works even with just discounted spell and Shadowy Figure, and you can kill your own leeroy using opponent’s minion so no need to use aoe

Ah, I’ve been so pro-dragon I missed that bit.

Isn’t Fate Weaver 4 mana? Where’d you get 2 mana from?
