Flame Imp, Voidwalker and Vulgar Homunculus are generally good in every match up to open with. Kobold Librarian is good at any point on the curve, and when you are on the draw with the coin you should try to keep Bloodfury Potion.There may be an argument to play more 2-drops seeing as this list is choosing to play Vulgar Homunculus over Prince Keleseth. The reason for this choice is both consistency and demon synergy.
When playing on curve with Flame Imp -> Vulgar Homunculus -> Bloodfury Potion -> Crystalweaver the deck has a crazy tempo and early on board pressure.
