General Mulligans

Best cards are the recruiting cards, and an innervate or two, so you can get Barnabus out as soon as possible.  Against boards that develop fast, e.g. even shaman, keep spreading plague.

Jasper is situational, if you feel there is early game trouble.  Otherwise you can mulligan it.

This is my take on the jungle giants quest druid.  Some of the other decks I’ve seen excluded the Guild Recruiter .  I’ve included guild recruiter for the following reasons:

There’s roughly now a 6/30 chance of getting out a cursed disciple at the start.  In fact, I almost always play both my cursed disciples super early, I would say in 80%-90% of games, and then the game is on :).

Guild recruiter can also be used late game to pull a massive creature (which now has 0 cost), e.g. a Charged Devilsaur  with charge.   The only draw back is a guild recruiter pulling a Guild Recruiter – which has only happened in a few games to me out of many.

Star Aligner allows for a board clear followed by a massive attack and can be used as a finisher.

Ysera  and Lich King  are mainly to give effective extra draw, in case of board clears by warrior or priest.

Performance wise, I made rank 6 with an earlier version this deck but could not break 5 in Dec 2018.  After hitting 5 with priest, I made 4 with that version of this deck.

I had swipe, but I find that spreading plague is better against large earlier boards.

Worst enemies are warrior (e.g. Brawl) and priest (shuffles your minions into your deck at their original cost!), and super fast decks when you have a bad draw.  But I was able to beat every archetype at least once.

If you only have the quest, and lack other legends, throw in your best big creatures (there are many), but you need the recruiting cards

The deck is still experimental, so have fun 🙂

I can confirm, I just made rank 5 with this deck, Jan 2019.

One warning – the spreading plague minions are beasts, and can be resurrected by witching hour. That caught me by surprise! 🙂
