Mulligans
Hi guys ! back with another MSOG therycraft deck, this time focusing on Druid and the brand new card : Jade Idol
How to Jade
As you probably guessed it, this deck revolve around the new jade golem mechanic, meaning you’ll want to control the board and slowly playing more and bigger threats as the game goes, for that let’s see the different cards you need :
Innervate, Wild Growth and Jade Blossom are your go to cards in mulligan, because you know… ramp…
Jade Blossom is replacing Mire Keeper here because it helps you creating more powerfull jade golems later on, but if you need better bodys early on you can still consider subbing it in.
Outside of your ramp, you’ll want to control the board as much as possible with Living Roots, Wrath and Swipe.
Raven Idol is also here to help you get the spells you need to clear the board.
Or you can start to build some good jade golems with Jade Spirit (Druid).
Big Game Hunter is also here to deal with big threats such as Ragnaros the Firelord or any kind of giants, could be replaced by Mulch i guess.
Once you reach the late game, you can start playing bigger threats such as Aya Blackpaw (Druid), Jade Behemoth and Arcane Giant, making it more and more difficult to deal with your jade golems.
If your opponent is able to survive through this, then it’s time to activate your secret weapon and transforming into a Miracle Druid : your Jade Idol in combination with Gadgetzan Auctioneer, this combo is here to build tons of powerfull jade golems and virtually immune you to fatigue, making it the best deck in fatigue scenario. the rest of your cards are here to help you get to that scenario quicker with draws (Azure Drake, Nourish).
And of course Fandral Staghelm is also in this deck, just because he’s insane in basically any kind of spells heavy druids decks and works great with Jade Idol, Raven Idol, Living Roots,Wrath and Nourish.
Possible subs
As i already said, some cards can be easily subbed depending on the meta :
– Mire Keeper is better than Jade Blossom if the meta is fast.
–Mulch instead of Big Game Hunter if there’s not enough big minions.
Outside of that, i guess you could focus less on creating jade golems and more on instant big threats with cards like Ragnaros the Firelord or some Ancient of War.
If you run into a lot of aggressive decks, you can also consider Feral Rage, Moonglade Portal can also be a good addition to the deck.
And if you’re a fan of the Malygos gameplay, you could easily sub him instead of Gadgetzan Auctioneer and add two Moonfire somewhere, along with an Emperor Thaurissan, but i feel like this wont build enough jade golems.
That’s all for today guys, hope you liked it, if you have anthing to say about the deck, advices or whatever, please leave a comment.
You absolutely need Brann. I’d take out the 4-drop for it, that card is far too slow to get any play.
I’d also take out the other 4-drop for Thalnos.
I think Emperor Thaurissan is going to be needed for the miracle mill to go off reliably. Arcane Giants are too slow, I think. Better off with Thalnos and Feral Rage.
Brann seems like an insta include no? With so many Jade golems being spawned from battlecries, and Azure drake too of course. Maybe cut one Nourish for it?
yeah, totally.
I would definitely replace BGH by Mulch because it is cheaper and synergies with Auctioneer. And I’m considering to put one Feral rage in this decklist since some aggressive decks like Pirate Warrior might target on Jade Druids.
I think you can swap wild growth with another 2-Drop.
Idk if i’d swap both of them, but i’ll definitely consider taking one off to add Thalnos, will see after some tests what is best.
