Hi, I’m Ismiel and I love Midrange Shaman. I repeatedly played Midrange Shaman to legend even before WoG, but it’s only since WoG that I reach high legend.
Mulligan Guide:
Always keep Tunnel Trogg and Totem Golem .
Keep either 1 Lightning Bolt or 1 Rockbiter Weapon.
On Coin keep Tuskarr Totemic and Feral Spirit.
If you have the tools to flood the board (f.e. Tunnel Trogg and Tuskarr/Feral Spirit or more than one 1/2-drop), you can keep Flametongue Totem.
Against Warlock and Shaman keep Lightning Storm if you already have some 1/2-drop.
Could you give us some insight regarding the changes? Especially Totemcarver.
I like the combo of one Totemcarver and one Flamewreathed, because they are each good and bad in different situations: Totemcarver sucks when you have no totems and Flamewreathed is weak to Hex, Sap, Deadly Shot, etc. Having only one of each makes it easier to play them in the right situation, f.e. you can first play Totemcarver to draw the Hex, Sap, Deadly Shot, etc. and then play Flamewreathed without getting punished.
I originally removed Totemcarver when the ladder was flooded with Zoolocks. Against Zoolocks you usually don’t have many totems on the board, and if you do, it’s because you’re winning anyway. So far I haven’t met many Zoolocks this season, so I went back to one Totemcarver and one Flamewreathed, but if you do meet Zoolocks a lot, I recommend you replace the Totemcarver with a 2nd Flamewreathed.
Flame Juggler is weak to Fiery War Axe and Alextrasza’s Champion, and I run into Dragon Warriors a lot these days.
Thanks for the feedback. The deck works wonders.
Very good and solid deck. Thank you!
