          Tournament play Snd ladder are two different beasts too. In tournaments you are are expecting to face a handful of decks. On ladder you plan on facing the whole field. Your deck has to be better in a vacuum on ladder as opposed to good at Rock Paper Scissors.

          So archmage might be better for him at his position on the ladder.
