Mulligans
Aggro Mulligans
In your mulligan you're almost looking for the same cards, but you want to be looking for some spicific cards for each matchup. As for the jeweled scarab you don't wanna keep it in your opening hand coz it's a very bad 2 drop on its own & the early loss of tempo will affect your later turns a lot, this card is more of a turn 5 card so you can combo it with Brann or play it along with the card you get.
Against aggro if have a good set of early game cards u can keep some other cards like unleash the hounds or animal companion if you want. You also want to be looking for the owl against hunters to silence their mad scientist & now against shamans too to silence their trogg.
Control Mulligans
Against control, besides your basic mulligan you may need cards like eaglehorn bow to keep control of the board early on so you can transition into your mid & late game which is troublesome for anyone facing a midrange Hunter. Also if you have a god hand & a the coin you can consider leaving a shredder or a houndmaster to get an early buff on one of your beasts. You can keep Brann too against control if your early game is good.
Greetings traveler. This is the deck I built last month when bran bronzebeard came out, it’s the ever reliable midrange Hunter with the potential of all battlecries being doubled. Cards like Houndmaster , Ram Wrangler & Stampeding Kodo give u instant value & great tempo that can turn tides in your favor, Jeweled Scarab can give 2 3-cost cards and the Hunter’s 3-cost cards are some of the best in the game, the double joust of King's Elekk doubles your chances of getting your bigger & scarier cards in your hand & Loatheb just outright blocks every single spell in the game so not even an overpriced frostbolt, sw:death, or execute can come out of your opponent’s hand. I climbed with this deck from rank 11 to rank 2 in one sitting, almost every game I just find I have lethal out of nowhere either with and extra kill common from the scarab or a crazy beast from the wrangler & if you manage to keep Brann on the board for more than one turn the tempo gain will be so immense for your opponent to handle, he’s like emperor thaurissan for board control. So give this deck a try, rate it & comment if you any thoughts or suggestions. Happy hunting..
Brann – Stampeding kodo doesnt seem to work?
The deck itself is nice, but I’m more impressed by the amount of work and detail you put into the Mulligans and the notes. Keep up the good work!
Thanks, you too made some nice interesting decks & congrats on your priest deck making it the front page 🙂
