It’s Rafaam Rogue! Over the last week I’ve seen Hooktusk a LOT more than I ever had before, so I came here to see if someone had improved my deck idea. Here’s the original unoptimized version: https://www.hearthstonetopdecks.com/decks/rafaam-rogue-i-like-your-deck-i-think-i-will-take-it/
I struggled with getting the combo to pop off quickly and consistently, and Rogue doesn’t have enough control tools to stay alive in Wild, so I eventually shelved the deck to work on other ideas. It’s cool to see what a few weeks of optimization can do to a deck.
I’d love to see a full writeup like I did for my deck, since I’m not 100% sure how all the pieces combo together. I’m assuming that Shadowcaster is there to copy Hooktusk, but that seems like it would make the combo turn cost way too much, and there’s only one, so you can’t go infinite.
The only really disappointing thing is that no one kept the “Rafaam Rogue” name. I thought that was a pretty great name.
I’ve been playing this deck a bunch in recent times but I didn’t find this list to be too good. Like you said, it tends to not survive long enough.
I’ve been modifying it to have more early game that also activates hooktusk quicker. This is by no means finished, for example I’m thinking about adding 1 copy of Shadowcaster back.
I feel like the deck has potential, not to be like super meta but at least get 50+ winrate and pull off whacky combos:
