Even when not facing rogue, it’s a 2 mana cost taunt minion with decent body. Good against aggro decks. But I believe the main reason is it’s the straight counter of backstab&seal fate.
Cool, but it must be hard to make a Galakrond deck that’s also a highlander, though, since you need to draw all of your invokes , and you can only include 1 of each of the 4, to fully upgrade Galakrond.
This deck doesn’t rely on Galakrond as much as the dedicated Galakrond decks do. Seven mana for five armor + one reduced-cost card + the updated hero power + turning on Kronx still ends up being fairly strong. It’s usually pretty easy to find at least two of the invoke cards as well for the extra card draw.
