My tournament deck used with ban mage strategy (and thus not good for laddering in recent meta). Good against all board oriented decks (mid paladin, mid hunter, shaman and druid in general, silence priest and giants rogue. It’s obviously low tier deck, but it can take your opponents by surprise and is super fun to play. I actually managed to win two small tournaments worth €100 with variations of this deck.
Main goal of this deck is to create board swings, setup Jaraxxus and generate card and tempo advantage with huge minions in the later stage of the game.
The best combo is obviously Violet Illusionist + Bloodbloom + Doom = kill everything and draw full hand. You can usually follow up with Doomsayer or cheap Mountain Giant to secure the board for the next turn. Sometimes you can afford to pay full 10 life or overdraw a bunch of cards, you are warlock after all and you know that sometimes sacrifice must be made. It depends entirely on matchup and situation and your hand and life total, if you can afford it. Thus some practice with the deck is needed in this matter.
Second option how you can create board swing against fast decks is to use Bloodbloom + Bane of Doom on their first threat and with approximately 60% chance you will get a reasonable big Demon body. Then you follow up with your midrange minions and try to hold the board as long as possible.
Violet Illusionist is very versatile in this deck, you can life tap for free and it has very good synergy with your Jaraxxus weapon. In late game you can use her and Bloodbloom to cheat out cheap some Elise cards to generate tempo advantage.
I replaced Medievh with Primordial Drake, because often times I played it and either died next turn or get oozed. The taunt is super important and Drake is the best Ungoro control card for sure.
I hope you will enjoy the deck and will have some fun with it, but I warn you, it can be pretty damn hard. With some warlock love in the next expansion though, I think it may become the powerhouse warlock once was.
