It all depends on the meta. This decklist expects a slower meta than the MSoG one.
If the meta turns out to be too quick, think about changing this:
- First of all, the Molten Giants or Arcane Giants for card draw/ more quick quest activators like Chemist/Courier/Bully/Mukla. By quick I mean not Cabalist’s Tome. You could try Elise maybe.
- Cabalist’s -> Volcanic Potion ( or the best Aoe available against the tier 1 decks)
- 2x Polymorph -> 2x Fireball
- Shimmering Tempest -> Ice Barrier
- Acolyte -> Arcanologist
If the meta is slow enough that you don’t have to say good bye to some of the giants, you could consider changing them anyway for the Exodia pieces 😀

But despite the fact that Exodia is 100% certain kill when achieved, it is just objectively better than the giants in a control meta. The giants have the advantage that not all pieces are needed for lethal in some cases
