Mulligans
General Mulligans
Generally you want to keep 1-drops and Armorsmith (which is your only 2-drop minion). The best games are the ones where you curve out perfectly. If you are going second and don't have a 2-drop, coin+3-drop is usually the best choise.
Warpath gets better with every turn you can cast it an additional time. However, it may prove very useful in the early game to start the rolling snowball.
This is an archtype that was pushed during The Knights of the Frozen Throne, but never really saw any serious play. In the rotation, the archtype lost valuable cards like Bloodhoof Brave and Ravaging Ghoul, but the Year of the Raven has added quite a load of cards that supports this archtype, that sadly has yet to shine. There are a couple of cards that barely exists in play, and it’s fun to see that they can actually work.
The deck is played as a tempo warrior. Your goal is to flud the board with minions and then draw benefits from your pings. With an aggressive mana curve, there are five cards that can provide card draw. In the late game you have big minions that pose a serious threat. If cards like Rotface or Blackhowl Gunspire sticks, a Warpath could win you the game.
I have played this deck on rank 5, up to rank 4 and back again in about 50 games. My overall winrate is around 50%. I am not a pro player, and this deck requires some serious piloting. I think this deck could perform well, with better players than myself. But the most important thing about this deck is the fun aspect of it. You will end up with some really crazy games.
The cards in this deck can be categorized like this:
Pings: These cards can deal ping damage to your own or your opponents minions. Animated Berserker, Slam, Warpath, Overlord's Whip, Blood Razor and Scourgelord Garrosh.
Ping synergies: Your own cards, that benefit from ping damage. Eternium Rover, Armorsmith, Acolyte of Pain, Frothing Berserker, Val'kyr Soulclaimer, Security Rover, Blackhowl Gunspire, Grommash Hellscream and Rotface.
Support or filler: These cards fit nicely into what the deck tries to do. Commanding Shout, Execute, Darius Crowley and The Lich King.
There are several cards that could be replaced. This is a list of cards that synergizes with the archtype. There are ofcourse a lot of other cards that could fit. But this shows that there are alot of support for this archtype:
Inner Rage, Whirlwind, Redband Wasp, Battle Rage, Cornered Sentry, Rampage, Cruel Taskmaster, Sudden Genesis, Death Revenant, Dyn-o-matic, Amani Berserker, Wild Pyromancer, Mad Bomber, Tauren Warrior, Raging Worgen, Night Howler, Dragonmaw Scorcher, Missile Launcher.
