Mulligans
General Mulligans
Doomsayers for early board clears, best taken when against hunters and druids but tends to be the best play throughout. Mountain Giant is a natural pick due to how this deck tends to hold out for a few turns before revving up. Ping AoP or trade for draw when possible to dig for your answers and to discount your giants.
A slight twist on the classic freeze mage deck. Doomsayers and frost nova with decent card draw for the early game. Later on things ramp up, for some end game fun. Antonidas paired with Ray of Frost and Magic Trick with Sorcerer’s Apprentice for quick burst with fireballs. Arcane Keysmiths allow for little flexibility. Without a decent draw aggro decks may be a problem but usually between AoP and Arcane Intellect you’ll find an answer. Mulligan for Doomsayers early and Mtn. Giant with card draw. Fair warning you should shy away from holding both Mtn. Giant as it may clutter up your hand and make you lose to early game pressure.
I think Luna’s Pocket Galaxy would be great in this deck
I havent considered LPG for this one but I’ll give it a whirl and post my finding.
Experimented with LPG, at this point I may swap an Arcane Intellect for it, if drawn early it can make for some large tempo swings later but I usually draw my Alexstrasza or Antonidas before finding Luna’s. A decent addition but certainly not required for this deck. So far I’ve put down everything from control and bomb warrior to pogo rogue and token druid. My worst matchup is midrange hunter as they keep pressure from early.
