With this deck, stalling for more turns is the most important thing so that you can finish your opponent with burn before he kill you. So 2 Ice Blocks are very important in this deck.
I play with a taunt warrior and I sometimes lose to mage decks because they stall for time with ice blocks and freeze and then finish me with burn.
The Classic card shell is old Aggro Mage from beta or possibly before. Only 4 new cards, it used to run Knife Juggler, pre-nerf Leper Gnome, and a couple others I forget but is very similar, this is obviously stronger with better tempo plays available.
It can generate enormous early game pressure to snowball, it’s pretty obvious if you just play a few matches. Not to say it’s going to be good in the meta or anything but it can steal games easy.
climbed from rank 20 to 10 without dropping a game. it’s really good against the slow meta right now with all the quests. People also don’t know how to play against it.
You use your spells to maximize the damage you do to their hero. Meaning, if you have the option to, say, frostbolt a lone gollakka crawler whilst you have a sorcerer’s apprentice on board, you shoot the crawler, and attack face with the minion twice or more over the course of the following turns, instead of just once before they trade (or worse, buff) the crawler.
A replacement for thalnos? Or is it a must have and is it really smart to craft it (i only have 2000 dust left)
Try a novice engineer
thalnos is one of the best legendary
I don’t think two ice blocks is a good idea – if you draw second one, it’s basically a dead card.

Is there any good replacements for pyroblast?
No its a core card in all mages right now, definitly worth crafting.
This looks like a tempo deck to me. Kind of got excited when I read ‘aggro’

with this type of deck you have to use the spells in face or you have to use it like a tempo mage so control the board?
